JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to help care for our property and ensure a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our guests and staff. This hands-on role requires a proactive mindset, attention to detail, and the ability to manage day-to-day maintenance needs across guest rooms, public spaces, and support areas. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can work both independently and collaboratively to complete repairs, perform routine inspections, and support the overall upkeep of our historic building and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems Complete preventative maintenance checks and documentation according to schedule Respond promptly to maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution Assist in maintaining the appearance of the property, including minor painting, patching, and general upkeep Collaborate with department heads to ensure guest rooms and common areas remain in excellent condition Monitor inventory of supplies and communicate purchasing needs Support special projects, seasonal tasks, and emergency repairs as needed

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Prior maintenance or facility experience required (hospitality experience a plus) Basic knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repair practices Ability to lift, carry, and move equipment up to 50 lbs Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently Flexible availability including weekends and holidays Commitment to safety, cleanliness, and professional conduct Strong communication and interpersonal skills The Willcox is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
