Job Summary:

A well-established manufacturing facility in the Barnwell, SC area is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their team. This position is responsible for maintaining and repairing production equipment with a focus on minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency. Ideal candidates are experienced in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and thrive in a fast-paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose and repair issues involving mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems Communicate effectively with production teams to understand equipment concerns Perform timely and cost-effective maintenance and repairs Record parts and labor used on work orders accurately Identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence Report unresolved issues for inclusion in scheduled preventive maintenance Observe and monitor equipment to detect early signs of problems

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance role Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical drive systems, and electrical controls High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree preferred Basic computer skills to manage work orders and inventory

Physical & Work Environment Requirements:

Ability to stand for full shifts and perform physical tasks such as climbing, squatting, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs Work may involve exposure to high temperatures, dust, moving machinery, and occasional chemical or electrical hazards Must be able to work independently and follow safety protocols Vision abilities required include close, distance, color, and depth perception
