Position Summary:
Perform general maintenance and repairs of a broad scope, including, but not limited to: drywall installation and repair, electrical work, plumbing work, appliance repair, routine preventive maintenance, painting, and routine maintenance on all vehicles.
Educational Requirements:
Technical education or previous maintenance background. Ability to understand building drawings and electric schematics. Ability to read, write, and speak English, and perform mathematical calculations required.
Licensure/Certification:
Possess and maintain in good standing a current and valid SC driver’s license.
Additional Qualifications:
Must possess good oral and written communication skills and be able to work independent of close supervision; ability to clearly follow oral and written instructions; must demonstrate good organizational skills.
Security Requirements:
Maintenance Technicians are not required or allowed to electronically view or access confidential patient information. Maintenance Technicians will be allowed to view and share patient information accessible otherwise in regard to patient care.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Moderate to heavy physical effort; may be exposed to the elements (heat, cold, rain, snow); work in area with high voltage electricity, hazardous equipment and moving parts; work on roof tops and other high places; ability to set up and climb ladders safely with tools and equipment necessary for assigned work; must be able to lift and carry up to 80 pounds; must be able to walk, stoop and stand for an extended periods of time (over 80% of the time); exposure to a variety of chemicals and dust daily; may be exposed to the HBV and HIV viruses
Essential Functions:
Perform general maintenance and repairs of the facility and resident owned equipment, including, but not limited to lighting, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work as assigned. Perform preventative maintenance as required. Prioritize and complete corrective and preventative work orders in a timely manor. Complete special projects as assigned. Operate hand and power tools appropriately and safely. Understands the responsibility to report suspected violations of The Cypress Club Code of Conduct to appropriate persons, or to The Cypress Club Compliance Hotline, or by completing a Written Report of Suspected Compliance Violation, or by contacting the Corporate Compliance Officer directly. Responsible for the refurbishment of The Cypress units including scheduling and follow-up with The Cypress. Works closely with the Plant Director and Marketing Department for the refurbishment of units. Takes appropriate precautions to avoid job related injuries and complies with injury reporting guidelines. Actively participates in safety programs and complies with The Cypress Club policies and procedures. Looks for ways to continuously improve safety for members, staff and visitors.
Additional Responsibilities:
Report any unsafe conditions to supervisor immediately. Maintain all tools, equipment and supplies in proper condition. Participate in all drills and in-service education as assigned. Respond to facility emergencies as needed. Respond to the site of smoke detector/fire alarm. All other duties as assigned. Why Work with
