Maintenance Technician Schedule:
Thursday:
11:00 PM – 5:15 AM Friday to
Sunday:
5:00 PM – 5:15
AM Fixed Shift:
3½ days on, 3½ days off
Hours:
40 hours per week
Compensation:
Base Pay:
$36/hour + 8% premium

Position Summary The Maintenance Technician performs work involving the skills of two or more maintenance or craft occupations to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or building structures in repair. Required Education & Experience High school diploma or GED required 5-7 years of related experience required Exercises independent judgment with direction from a supervisor Key Skills Creativity, strong verbal and written communication skills Analytical and problem-solving ability (Required) Team player; highly detail oriented (Required) Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance Basic understanding of raw materials, production processes, quality control, cost efficiency, and distribution methods Basic knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology Major Responsibilities Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand/power tools; reassemble equipment Perform routine preventive maintenance to keep machines running smoothly and building systems efficient Inspect drives, motors, belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and follow maintenance checklists Use common and precision tools (e.g., hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, testing devices) Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical/electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment Inspect, operate, and test equipment to diagnose malfunctions Record the type and cost of maintenance or repair work performed Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and machinery parts Dismantle devices to access/remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand, and power tools
