Job Summary:
The Facilities Maintenance Technician is someone who deals directly with our internal departments staff, and is responsible for service calls as well as the overall upkeep of our commercial facilities. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and the schedule may vary between daytime and evening shifts, including holidays and weekends. This is a full time, year round position that is guaranteed at least 40 hours per week, with opportunity for overtime.
Responsibilities & Skills:
Complete all assigned work orders received from the Facilities Manager efficiently and to Resort standards. Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair resort equipment to ensure longevity and proper usage. Conducts on-going maintenance programs. Routinely inspect all properties to identify any potential opportunities and current needs. Performs preventive maintenance as scheduled, including but not limited to, replacing bulbs and air filters. Performs light plumbing, electrical and HVAC repairs. Must work both independently and in a team environment. Must have an eye for detail in the trade. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Minimum Education
- High School diploma or GED equivalent. Minimum Age
- 18 years old due to type of equipment used and general work environment. Minimum Experience
- Two or more years of maintenance experience highly preferred.
Must have a valid SC Driver’s License. Must be able to pass a background check. Must possess good organizational and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential information. Good to Excellent communication skills in English both verbal and written.
Essential Physical Requirements:
Must be in good physical condition and have the ability to move/lift heavy objects. Must be comfortable climbing and working off ladders ranging from 6′ to 20′ heights. Must be able to stand for a majority of the shift, while reaching, bending and stooping frequently. Must be able to lift and carry up to 40 pounds across short-medium distance. Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
