The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of various floor surfaces in commercial and residential settings. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to operate floor care equipment effectively. The Floor Technician will play a crucial role in ensuring that all areas are clean, safe, and presentable. Responsibilities Perform routine floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and waxing floors. Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate techniques and equipment to ensure high-quality results. Maintain cleanliness in assigned areas by performing custodial duties as needed. Inspect floors regularly for damage or wear and report any issues to management. Utilize proper cleaning chemicals and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines. Collaborate with the environmental services team to uphold cleanliness standards across facilities. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations while performing cleaning tasks. Experience Previous experience in floor care or custodial services is preferred but not required. Familiarity with commercial cleaning practices and equipment operation is a plus. Knowledge of buffing techniques and carpet cleaning methods is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
