SpringHill Suites Charleston Riverview is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the hotel’s physical structure, equipment, and systems to ensure a safe, functional, and inviting environment for guests and team members.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment and systems as outlined by the hotel’s maintenance schedule. Address guest requests and resolve maintenance issues promptly and professionally. Inspect and maintain hotel facilities, including guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces, ensuring compliance with safety and cleanliness standards. Maintain inventory of tools, supplies, and equipment, and report any needs for restocking or replacements. Work closely with the engineering and management team to ensure timely resolution of maintenance concerns. Respond to emergency maintenance calls promptly and effectively. Adhere to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. Duties and schedule may be changed at anytime by management to accommodate business needs.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical certification preferred. Proven experience in building maintenance or a similar role, preferably in a hospitality environment. Proficient in basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as required. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
