Non-Exempt Job Description:
In this role, you will maintain beautification of the City by inspecting and enforcing livability codes by managing graffiti, vacant or overgrown properties, and other street-level blight.
Examples of Duties:
Patrols the City looking for graffiti and overgrown lots that are unsightly or pose a threat to the safety and security of the neighborhood. Reports graffiti, overgrown lots and other code violations using an industrial electronic device. Prepares and processes inspection reports. Issues violation notices. Removes graffiti using a variety to cleaners and equipment including a hand-held power washer. Manages vacant properties and overgrown lots by clearing/cleaning properties with a variety of hand-held and power tools, including boarding vacant buildings. Performs debris removal, cleaning, clearing of city-owned properties and rights-of-way. Operates push and riding lawn mowers. Performs other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 1.5 years of work experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office or similar software. Valid state issued driver’s license.
