Who You Are:

The Urban Electric Company has grown over the last decade into a global presence in the shelter industry. We design, market and manufacture high-end, bench crafted lighting fixtures. We are currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to support our manufacturing shop by performing preventative and corrective maintenance for industrial facilities and equipment. Life:

Uses knowledge, skills and abilities to perform corrective/preventative maintenance on electro-mechanical equipment to minimize equipment downtime and maximize production operations Inspects buildings and other structures to identify and action maintenance repair actions Performs facility electrical maintenance to include but not limited to repair/replacement of lighting systems and electrical distribution systems Performs repair/replacement of plumbing systems Performs minor carpentry and painting activities Installs and reconfigures office/production spaces to maximize layout Performs equipment preventative and corrective maintenance Follow proper lock-out/tag-out procedures Repair/maintain equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications Coordinate with production management regarding necessary facility/equipment outages and be willing to work flexible hours to accommodate Follows work orders, standard operating procedures and technical manuals to perform duties Able to work in team-centered and individual contributor roles seamlessly Communicate effectively with all levels of organization and external contractors Conducts chemical analysis and chemical adjustments for finishing tanks Assists with control of the Hazwaste 90 day area Responds to hazardous waste emergencies and assists with cleanup if required

Position Requirements:

High school diploma required (Associate Degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechatronics, etc a plus!) 2-5 years of experience in industrial facilities maintenance Computer Proficiency Working knowledge of schematics, wiring and piping diagrams Safely operate hand and power tools Prior experience maintaining metal working shop tools and industrial equipment a plus Chemical titration analysis and chemical adjustments a plus Experience with CNC machines a plus Prior experience in a manufacturing facility and understanding of OSHA Safety requirements HazWoper 40 hour and annual 8 hour refresher training (provided)

Physical Requirements:

Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Ability to wear PPE as required
