Maintenance Technician Fairfield Inn & Suites 2540 North Forest Drive, North Charleston, SC 29420 Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical background and be proficient in various maintenance tasks. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are maintained to the highest standards. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service while ensuring the safety and functionality of our residential properties. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of buildings and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs and maintenance on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. Utilize tools such as ohmmeters for electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting. Execute residential painting tasks as needed to maintain aesthetic quality. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of projects. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing tenant concerns promptly and professionally. Demonstrate leadership skills by mentoring junior staff and assisting with training as required. Operate logic controllers for automated systems maintenance and troubleshooting. Execute welding tasks when necessary for structural repairs or modifications. Experience Candidates should have a solid foundation in mechanical knowledge, with experience in residential maintenance preferred. Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with team members and customers.
