Maintenance Technician – Hotel Position Available In Charleston, South Carolina

Maintenance Technician – Hotel North Charleston Lodge 2551 Ashley Phosphate Rd, North Charleston, SC 29418 We are looking for a skilled Maintenance worker to perform upkeep tasks such as repairs and cleaning. You will be responsible for applying basic fixes to equipment and building systems and ensure facilities are tidy and functional. Being reliable with a keen eye for detail is the first step to getting this job. The ideal candidate will have experience and solid technical knowledge. You must possess manual dexterity and physical stamina. Responsibilities Perform cleaning activities such as picking up grounds and pulling trash.

Perform general repairs eg:

repairing broken locks, small sheetrock repairs, replace wax ring, perform preventative maintenance program, etc. Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues Install appliances and equipment Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs, toilet flaps or handles, programming remotes. Inspect and troubleshoot equipment and systems (e.g. ventilation) Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm) Collaborate with workers and other professionals during renovations Communicate effectively with other Team members for to improve property performance Skills Proven experience as a facilities maintenance worker required Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems Experience using hand and electrical tools Ability to read technical manuals and drawings Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Physical stamina and dexterity with the ability to lift/move 100+ pounds High school diploma or equivalent required Successful completion of an apprenticeship is a plus
