Maintenance Supervisor Summary/Objective The Maintenance Technician regularly maintains, repairs, and performs preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, and tooling, keeps a normal reserve of supplies and repair parts, and upholds records of preventative maintenance reports Essential Functions Performs diagnosis and repair of various systems, including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and other production and support equipment.
Conducts scheduled preventative maintenance activities to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
Maintains repair logs and notes to track repair trends and establish future preventative maintenance schedules.
Collaborates with production supervision and technical support to ensure proper equipment setup and operation.
Adheres to all applicable maintenance safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all plant employees.
Follows required safety standards, wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintains production equipment in safe working order.
Cleans and maintains the working area to promote safety and efficiency.
Training needs are based on the Core Molding Technologies training matrix specific to this position. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.
Physical Demands Lifting/Carrying:
Ability to lift or carry up to 40 pounds in a single instance, with frequent lifting both above shoulder height and below the waist.
Pushing/Pulling:
Capability to push or pull up to 100 pounds in a single instance.
Standing:
Ability to stand continuously for up to 2 hours at a time, totaling 6 hours per day.
Walking:
Ability to walk continuously for up to 2 hours at a time, totaling 8 hours per day.
Hand Tools:
Use of hand tools intermittently for up to 7 hours per day.
Other Activities:
Intermittent activities may include bending, squatting, kneeling, and twisting/turning, also for up to 7 hours per day. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Thursday. This position may occasionally require extended hours and/or weekend work. Travel Travel is not required for this position.
REQUIRED
Education, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED), minimum of two years working in a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
Technical training in welding/electrical/hydraulics is preferred. Ability to read general electric and hydraulic schematics and blueprints Preferred Education, Qualifications, and Experience High school diploma or equivalent. 2 or more years of manufacturing experience in a lean manufacturing environment. Language Skills Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Write routine reports and correspondence. Speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization. Mathematical Skills Add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Compute rates, ratios, and percents.
Draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to understand and follow instructions presented in written, verbal, or diagram form.
Capable of identifying and solving problems involving multiple variables in routine, standardized situations.
Exercises sound judgment and applies logical thinking to support safe and effective operations.
