Maintenance Technician Aalberts IPS Pageland, SC 29728 Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the functionality and safety of our facilities. This role requires a strong mechanical knowledge, the ability to troubleshoot issues, and the capability to lead small teams when necessary. The Maintenance Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining equipment, performing repairs, and ensuring that all systems operate efficiently.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for anything from electrical, plumbing, machining maintenance and repair, welding, or building maintenance.
- Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on CNC machines, lathes, mills, and other production equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Able to review and understand diagrams, sketches, and manuals when needing assistance.
- Disassemble, clean, and reassemble machinery components, including motors, gears, and hydraulics.
- Preventive maintenance on machines and equipment as time allows outside of mechanical breakdown.
- Conduct routine inspections of machines and equipment to identify potential issues before they cause downtime.
- Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs and parts used via MVP1 system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment at all times. Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred.
- Can accurately use all precision instruments and read blueprints pertaining to the work being performed.
- Able to use math calculations such as addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Desired Skills:
- Four years of electrical or maintenance experience in an industrial setting preferred.
- Ability to use precision instruments and read blueprints.
- Ability to communicate effectively between multiple department supervisors.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines within a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in a maintenance role within a manufacturing setting.
- High attention to detail and escalate errors to management when needed.
- Must be able to stand for long periods at a time.
- Able to work with arms extended above shoulder level, climb ladders, and work at different heights.
- Possess the ability to push and pull frequently.
- Frequent bending at the waist.
- Must be able to lift 60 lbs.
