Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Work safely under functional safety guidelines such as PPE and equipment interaction.
  • Correctly interpret work orders…
  • Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed.
  • Perform all levels of equipment repair.
  • Work with production to prioritize repairs.
  • Performs advanced troubleshooting.
  • Install, calibrate, trouble shoot, and program microprocessor based instruments.
  • Dismantle and inspect production equipment as needed.
  • Interface with vendors and contractors (equipment repairs, facilities, etc.)
  • Provide leadership and training to level one, two and three maintenance technicians.
  • Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Required Skills:
  • Basic English language skills and the ability to read, follow, and interpret planning and work order instructions
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of controls and interfaces.
  • The ability to navigate intranet to locate process documents – advanced computer skills
  • The ability to read and interpret work instructions and advanced prints and dimensions Experience & Education
  • 10 plus years of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required
  • GED or High School diploma required
Working Conditions:
  • Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment
  • Constant exposure to moderate noise
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to work 2nd shift Monday – Thursday, 6pm to 6am.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours.
  • Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials.
  • Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane, boom lift and manlift.
  • Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level.
  • Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery.
  • Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment, including a respirator.
  • Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
