Job Summary To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Maintenance Technician 1 located in Orangeburg, SC. Reporting to the Facilities Manager the Maintenance Technician 1 role is responsible for repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment such as conveyor systems and production machines and equipment. This position will also maintain and repair manufacturing equipment to ensure it is operational. What a typical day looks like: Through troubleshooting, identifies machine malfunctions and isolates the failure mechanism. Repairs the failure mechanism in the most cost-effective manner. Performs preventive maintenance at specified intervals and schedules. Performs calibrations and re-qualifications on equipment at specified intervals and schedules. Assists process technicians and engineers with the installation and removal of process equipment. Records times and problems in equipment logs. Provides daily equipment functioning activity information. Disassembles instruments and equipment and inspects components for defects. Aligns, repairs, replaces and balances component parts and circuitry. Assists engineers in formulating test, calibration, repair and evaluation plans and procedures to maintain precision accuracy of measuring, recording and indicating instruments and equipment AC/DC Power troubleshooting The experience we’re looking to add to our team: Typically requires an Associate’s Degree in related field, military technical training or equivalent education Requires 2 years of related experience and/or trade knowledge. Basic functional and/or process knowledge and participates in process. Ability to read and comprehend schematics, and maintenance manuals.

Electronic Assembly:

schematics, mechanical assembly;

Cables:

crimping, harness assembly, chamber/wire soldering, cable prepping

Mechanical & Electrical Tools:

power air guns, taps & dies, alignment tools, measuring tools Able to read and comprehend moderately complex instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
