Job Responsibilities
Our maintenance technicians (Trades Specialist III) perform various maintenance, installation, repair, and construction-related tasks and operate motorized grounds maintenance and storage equipment.
Performs equipment corrective and preventative maintenance as needed.
Performs drywall repair and finishing; prepares, cleans, and paints designated areas of the campus
Performs general plumbing, routine maintenance tasks, and carpentry as needed.
Assists with electrical and low-voltage repairs and installations under the supervision of the Campus Trades Supervisor.
Responsible for performing in-house improvements as directed by supervision.
Operates college tractors and forklifts as needed.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
Trade experience directly related to the area of employment.
Additional Comments
Knowledge of tools, equipment, materials, and supplies used in the designated trade. Duties frequently require stooping, bending, and climbing, and the employee must be able to routinely lift 25-30 pounds and up to 50 pounds.
