Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

o Coordinate with Shift Technicians and Production Supervisors to insure minimum downtime during line change-over and machine breakdowns. o Meet or exceed company expectations for production performance to maximize sales o Knowledge of SQF, GMP’s, SOP’s, and HACCP, and other food process sanitation requirements. Training is provided. o Report any/all food safety or food quality issues immediately to supervision or QA. o Perform related duties as assigned by production lead or other leadership o Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures o Assist production lead with changeovers as required (including moving materials, equipment, etc). o Able to lift 50 to 70 lbs. Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required. o Adjust film tension as needed to improve performance o Maintain production on the line, troubleshoot and correct issues on the line as quickly as possible to maintain production. o Perform related duties as assigned by management o Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor / manager. o Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures o Provide emergency/unscheduled and scheduled repairs on production equipment during production and during scheduled downtime. o Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities. o Use a variety of hand and power tools, Volt meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. o Analyze, troubleshoot, replace and install electrical AC/DC controls

  • Power distribution troubleshooting and electrical installations
  • Suggest, design and upgrade existing equipment controls
  • Develop, create and keep current all electrical documentation.
  • Ethernet I/O troubleshooting and setup
  • Work from drawings, blueprints, worksheets, and other related documents.
  • Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of manufacturing and facility equipment.
  • Performs other responsibilities and duties assigned by manager o Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

o Maintaining the operation of—and troubleshooting—baking machinery and equipment o Working with Production Technicians and Supervisors to meet production deadlines by keeping equipment operating o Working with storeroom personnel to order replacement parts. o Capturing and recording necessary equipment and material history o Recommending improvement in maintenance and operational procedures o Maintaining close contact with Maintenance Supervisor to ensure maintenance activities occur with minimal disruption to production operations o Work in a team or autonomously to complete work orders and provide electrical/maintenance support on automated production equipment. o Troubleshoot, maintain, modify, and repair PLCs. Programming not required. o Disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment, using precision measurement tools. o Interpret schematics and equipment manuals to troubleshoot equipment. o Complete assigned work efficiently and per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s). o Lead process improvement and initiate change. o Analyze process data and make decisions on equipment maintenance and improvement activities. o Perform Preventive Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) to increase equipment reliability and up-time. o Calibrate analog and digital instrumentation. o Repair, install and program VFD’s. o Comply with all safety standards and regulations provided by the company and government (e.g. LOTO, Work Permits, etc.) o Utilize PLEX to accurately and thoroughly document and track all corrective and preventive maintenance performed throughout the course of the day; including searching and issuing parts, documenting equipment issues and entering inspection/measurement points. o Prioritize and self-schedule maintenance work around production activities to achieve both production and maintenance KPI’s. o Properly utilize labor resources to improve efficiency, minimize labor expense and reduce waste o Rework all product as needed, do not waste product o Notify production lead of any waste issues and/or machine malfunctions o Able to work extended hours, available for overtime and weekend work as required. o Ability to troubleshoot any issues in the mixing operation. o Drive U.S. Waffle’s goals & objectives through individually led projects and continuous improvement activities.

o As a team member of the U.S. Waffle team, you have the responsibility to address any known food safety or quality issue. o Report any and all food safety or food quality issues to QA and Shift Supervision. o Implement actions needed to prevent food safety and food quality issues o Meet or exceed expectations of strict adherence to Quality Standards o Coordinate with QA to ensure company quality SOP’s are adhered to. o Demonstrate behaviors of a quality conscious culture. o Ensure training is completed for your role and the roles of all team members in relationships to process and quality. o Ensure customer specifications are being met through evaluation and immediate reaction o Develop a culture of quality within the scope of their role. o Monitor and ensure that all GMP’s, SOP’s, and HACCP are met at all times o Ensure production floor is SQF ready

EVERYDAY

o Follow all safety and OSHA policies and report any issues or violations immediately to a supervisor. o Safety is first within our organization. Quality is the second most important aspect of your role. o Prevent cross-contamination by following all policies and procedures.

Work Experience Requirements:
  • 4 years or more experience in industrial maintenance.
  • High School Diploma, or GED
  • CMMS Experience
  • Computer Skills
  • Subject to US Waffle Knowledge Testing, ie Ramsey Test
  • Must be willing to work weekends when needed
  • Basic mathematical skills
