The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain various systems within residential and commercial properties. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance tasks, ensuring that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally. The Maintenance Technician will also have the opportunity to demonstrate leadership skills by supervising junior staff and coordinating maintenance projects. Responsibilities Conduct routine inspections of facilities and equipment to identify maintenance needs. Perform repairs on electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC, and other mechanical systems. Fabricate parts as necessary to ensure efficient operation of equipment. Utilize schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively and implement solutions. Execute residential painting tasks as required for property upkeep. Supervise and train junior maintenance staff, providing guidance on best practices. Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and inventory of supplies. Use tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical diagnostics and repairs. Respond promptly to maintenance requests from tenants or management. Qualifications Proficient in English with strong communication skills. Demonstrated mechanical knowledge with experience in electrical systems, plumbing, and HVAC maintenance. Ability to fabricate parts and perform welding tasks as needed. Experience in supervising or leading a team is preferred. Familiarity with reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
