Maintenance Technician 3D Corporate Solutions 1299 Duncan Rd, Ward, SC 29166 Summary This role is responsible for managing the maintenance and safety of all plant ammonia refrigeration systems. Responsible for ensuring that equipment is operated and maintained according to manufacturer specifications, work performed meets safety requirements. This position is responsible for following preventive maintenance schedules and inspecting and testing equipment or building systems. We are looking for a knowledgeable Ammonia Refrigeration Tech. to be involved in repair, and upkeep operations of the company’s refrigeration systems in compliance with PSM requirements. This role requires a solid understanding of refrigeration and electrical systems as well as manufacturing machinery knowledge. They will be well-versed in all refrigeration maintenance processes, and health and safety regulations. The ideal candidate will also have aptitude in undertaking administrative tasks such as reporting, etc. Essential Duties / Responsibilities Work with in-house refrigeration mechanics and/or authorized service providers for the maintenance, leak rate, service and repairs of refrigeration systems Fresh and frozen production equipment including scraped surface heat exchangers, plate freezers, evaporators, condensers, compressors Responsible for the proper application and handling of refrigerants in compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations, as well as compliance with company refrigerant handling policies and procedures. Help with the Development of and optimize refrigeration maintenance and preventive maintenance procedures and ensure implementation Carry out inspections of the refrigeration systems to identify and resolve issues Help with the planning and completion of all refrigeration repair and installation activities Inspect and evaluate physical plant, grounds, and related refrigeration equipment. Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary Manage relationships with contractors and service providers Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities Ensure health and safety policies are complied with Education / Experience College or Trade School Degree in related field preferred and/or equivalent work experience in areas of refrigeration, electrical and facility maintenance Thorough knowledge of refrigeration systems used in a production environment. Knowledge of current refrigeration controls (ComTrol. Danfoss, CPC and others) is required.
