Job Type:

Full Time The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing ongoing facility maintenance and completing repairs on equipment.

Key Job Responsibilities:

Maintain all plant equipment to ensure safe, continual, and efficient operation. Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled maintenance. Provide unscheduled repairs on production equipment during production operation. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper management. Adhere to company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA requirements.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:

Previous work experience as an industrial maintenance technician is preferred. High school education or equivalent is not required but beneficial. Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States. Ability to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and policies. Must be organized, self-motivated, safety oriented and able to multitask. Ability to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Excellent troubleshooting skills. Must have a flexible schedule, willing to work rotating shifts. Must supply personal hand tools.

Physical Requirements/Environmental Conditions:

Willing and able to perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling (8 hours a day or more) Willing and able to maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipment Willing and able to work in a hot/humid, cold and noisy industrial environment May be exposed to all chemicals used in poultry, food, processing facilities.
