HTI has an immediate opening for a contract Facility Maintenance Technician with an automotive supplier in Duncan, SC.
Hours:
3PM-1130PM
Contract length: 6 months
Pay rate: $30/hour Job duties:
The Facility Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the overall upkeep and maintenance of our production facility and grounds. This role is crucial in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment for our employees.
Conduct routine inspections of the facility to identify and resolve issues promptly.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment and systems to ensure functionality.
Respond promptly to maintenance requests from various departments.
Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues and repair or replace defective parts.
Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies.
Adhere to safety and compliance regulations at all times.
Document maintenance activities and keep records of completed Determine part requirements, provide parts and request part procurement.
Determine causes of defects/shutdowns in sometimes complex equipment with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, etc. components; use diagnostic systems as required.
Conduct difficult maintenance and repair tasks on complex technical equipment (ie. fixtures, , instruments, etc.)
Recognize and eliminate weak areas; cooperate in developing suggestions for eliminating weak areas.
Eliminate breakdowns in machines and fixtures.
Follow up and coordinate activities for efficient energy usage, lighting system, predictive maintenance, and lightning/grounding systems.
Participate in the development of work instructions and procedures for maintenance activities.
To develop and deliver on time field reports to supervisor.
Effectively communicate with the supervisor any problems with safety, equipment, and/or productivity.
Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
Other duties as assigned
On call 1 week in a 6 week rotation
Basics computer skills (ie. Emails, Microsoft office, etc)
Requirements:
Must have 3+ years of Facility maintenance experience Must have high school diploma or equivalent (Technical maintenace certificate/degree preferred) Must have good computer skills and experience with MS Office software Must have good verbal and written communication skills
