JOB SUMMARY

The Multi Craft Maintenance Tech will perform multi-craft maintenance, fabrication, and construction duties as directed to keep equipment and physical plant in good repair. This role will move and install machines, rebuild and repair power tools, machine tools, assembly equipment, lift trucks, etc. Work can include construction, troubleshooting and repair of structural, fabricated, mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and/or pneumatic nature. The Multi Craft Maintenance Tech will also assist in training new employees and must maintain a clean and safe working environment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strong technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, robotics, electro-mechanical systems, motion/motor control, three-phase power, AC variable frequency drives. Ability to fabricate and machine complex components to repair fixtures, jigs, and parts for project, maintenance tasks, and equipment repair/modifications. Perform all job functions to meet maintenance best practice standards. Performs advanced preventive maintenance functions. Ability to consistently problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity. Utilize blueprints, sketches, and technical manuals as needed. Assist in training new employees as needed. Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and electronic test equipment. Safely operate powered industrial trucks, cranes, and other industrial access equipment. Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc. Keep work area clean and orderly according to 5S standard. Maintain CMMS records as required. Perform related duties as directed.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School Diploma or equivalent. 5 years of experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Associate Degree in a technical manufacturing field (Mechatronics, Industrial Electronics, General Engineering, etc.). Technical knowledge and troubleshooting skills in PLCs, hydraulics/pneumatics, robotics, electro-mechanical systems, motion/motor control, three-phase power, AC variable frequency drives. Ability to fabricate and machine components to repair fixtures, jigs, and parts for project, maintenance tasks, and equipment repair/modifications. Basic computer skills, especially knowledge of MS-Office package. Ability to work any shift including overtime, holidays, weekends, and shutdowns. Ability to problem solve and continuously improve safety, quality, and productivity. Experience in manufacturing maintenance.
