Job Overview:
Operates and maintains the location’s hydroelectric generating facility, including buildings, dams, grounds, and equipment. Performs general maintenance to various electrical, programmable logic controllers (PLC), hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical devices. Makes standard hydroelectric plant operating decisions in accordance with established procedures. The primary location for this position is Chappells, South Carolina. Needs to respond to the facility within 45 minutes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Regulates the flow of water through turbines that generate electricity. Monitors operations and controls the flow of electricity out of the plant. Performs scheduled maintenance and equipment tests. Troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical malfunctions. Utilizes computers to perform various tasks. Needs to be able to respond to facility within 45 minutes.

Outlook and Excel Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree in Industrial Electronics, Maintenance, or Mechatronics is preferred.
Minimum Experience:
One year of experience in a mechanical and/or electrical field is required; three years are preferred.

Job Type:
Full-time Shift Schedule:
8-hour shifts, 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, rotating weekend shift once a month, working 4 hours on Saturday and 4 hours on Sunday. This position also requires you to be on-call, which could result in occasionally working additional hours at night, on the weekend, and on holidays.
Pay:
$28.00 – $32.00 per hour
