Overall Scope
Maintenance technicians are responsible for the preventive maintenance and repair of all production machines and related equipment. Must be able to troubleshoot and repair complex machines ranging from name brand industrial machines to custom designed machines and equipment.
Skill areas include:
mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronics, and PLC / computer programming.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Education in an industrial environment.
Experience in machinery maintenance.
Experience with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical and mechanical areas.
AS Degree in industrial maintenance a plus.
Responsibilities and Duties
Troubleshoot and repair production machinery.
Perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
Install/repair/replace electrical wiring, pneumatic/hydraulic lines.
Read and interpret schematics.
Diagnose electronic hardware issues.
Read/understand and troubleshoot PLC programs.
Perform lockout/tagout duties to neutralize machine energy.
Move equipment with rigging gear.
Follow all company, State and Federal safety requirements.
Perform emergency response duties that include chemical spill response, fire/medical response and hazardous waste control.
