The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in construction, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of various types of garage doors, ensuring high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Responsibilities Install and repair garage doors and related hardware according to specifications. Utilize power tools and hand tools effectively for installation tasks. Fabricate components as needed to ensure proper fit and function. Perform metal stud framing for structural support when necessary. Conduct inspections of installed doors to ensure functionality and safety. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide expert recommendations. Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times. Follow safety protocols on construction sites to prevent accidents or injuries. Assist with other carpentry tasks as required. Troubleshoot electrical issues related to garage door openers. Qualifications Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in installation or construction work. Familiarity with metal stud framing and wood framing techniques is preferred. Ability to fabricate components for custom installations is a plus. Proficient in the use of power tools and hand tools associated with construction tasks. Experience working on construction sites, demonstrating an understanding of site safety practices. Basic locksmithing skills are advantageous for door security installations. Knowledge of electrical systems related to garage door openers is beneficial. Previous experience as a carpenter or in a similar role is desirable. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
