This hands-on field role involves installing, testing, and servicing natural gas meters for residential and commercial customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Work outdoors on job sites in varying weather conditions for up to 10 hours per day Remove and replace gas meters using standard electrical helper tools Install gas regulators as needed and verify final meter functionality Check for gas leaks and safely shut down or relight appliances Perform safety checks and identify abnormal or hazardous conditions Use a company-provided handheld device to collect and document accurate data Interact with customers professionally on-site Achieve daily install goals set by the
Project Manager Qualifications:
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a pre-employment DOT drug screen, background check, and MVR Must complete Honeywell’s OQ training and field evaluation for certification Comfortable using hand tools (up to 30 lbs force) Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Experience:
Prior work as an electrician helper , construction laborer , or in gas field service Familiarity with gas meter or utility installations Tech-savvy with handheld devices or computer systems OSHA knowledge and safe work practices
