Full Job Description Objective:
An Advanced Level Maintenance Technician at Tennessee Performing Arts Center is responsible for maintaining all facilities in a safe and efficient manner while adhering to the standards of guest service. This role requires schedule flexibility and is primarily evening and weekend work to support theater operations. This role is non- exempt, full-time, and reports to the Director of Building Operations.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform daily rounds-check restrooms, offices, common areas, lighting, refrigeration, and room temperatures. Attend to any work orders and internal service requests. Maintain all Facilities and Operating Systems in a safe and efficient working order. Complete assigned tasks in a safe, timely manner. Work with outside contractors to provide necessary improvements or maintenance as directed. Maintain records of all work activities and support materials. Provide written reports to other departments as needed. Provide for safe disposal of all waste material. Maintain tools and work area in safe, secure and efficient manner. Work with other departments when directed. Keep track of supplies and fill out requisition for needed supplies. Assist with preventative maintenance in common areas and back of house spaces. Perform advanced electrical, refrigeration and HVAC repairs and preventative maintenance. Provide supervision of other maintenance personnel. The responsibilities listed above are not all inclusive. Other related duties may be assigned.

Required:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Must have flexible schedule to include working nights and weekends. Previous maintenance experience. Basic skills required with computers. Must pass a background check.
Preferred:
Electrical, EPA, or HVAC certified
Trade School Diploma/Certificate Bilingual:
English/Spanish Frequent Functions and Working Conditions Frequent Functions include : seeing with color perception, hearing and listening, verbal communication, face to face Contact, manual dexterity, ascending/descending stairs and ladders, pushing/pulling carts and equipment, standing or walking for up to 8 hours, lifting up to 50 lbs, bending/stooping/crawling/kneeling, understanding complex written/verbal communications, analysis/problem solving, judgement/decision making, spatial awareness, basic math skills, shift work, working alone and with others, equipment, electrical equipment, dirt/dust, working with flashing lights, and working in the dark.
Occasional Functions include:
ability to work outside in all weather conditions (including seasonally hot or cold temperatures), working on an elevated platform, fumes/odors, hazardous materials, and loud environment.
