The Facilities & Maintenance Technician supports overall facility upkeep and minor repair needs across the Moscow, TN site, with a secondary focus on assisting the manufacturing maintenance team. This includes tasks such as lighting replacements, minor plumbing, painting, outdoor repairs, and safety-related fixes, along with basic equipment support on the production floor. This is a first-shift position with occasional flexibility required for urgent facility or equipment needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilities Maintenance – Primary Focus (60-70%) Perform general facility upkeep including painting, patching, and light construction. Replace lighting fixtures and bulbs across office, production, and exterior areas. Complete minor plumbing repairs such as clearing drains and replacing fixtures. Conduct basic repairs to doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and other building systems. Perform safety-related tasks such as repairing guardrails, exit signage, or trip hazards. Maintain exterior areas including walkways, parking lot lighting, and building exteriors. Manufacturing Maintenance Support – Secondary Focus (30-40%) Assist in troubleshooting and repairing production equipment as needed. Support preventive maintenance activities on manufacturing systems. Learn and apply basic mechanical repair practices under the guidance of the maintenance team. Maintain a safe and clean work environment on the shop floor and surrounding areas.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical training a plus. 1-3 years of experience in facilities or general maintenance work preferred. Comfortable working with hand tools, power tools, and ladders. Able to read and understand basic blueprints or repair instructions. Knowledge of basic plumbing, painting, and general building maintenance. Willingness to assist with mechanical repair and maintenance in a manufacturing setting.
Working Conditions:
Regularly required to stand and walk for up to 8 hours per shift. Perform repetitive motions involving reaching with hands and arms, sitting, and stooping. Lift and handle materials weighing 20-50 pounds multiple times during a shift. Work includes indoor and outdoor tasks in varying conditions. Occasional extended hours or emergency work may be required.
Work Environment:
May involve exposure to loud noise, vibration, or temperature variations. Work near moving mechanical parts.
PPE Requirements:
Gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel-toed shoes and hard hats are required. These are provided by the company.
