Job Description
Die Cast Multicraft Maintenance Tech (must be able to work any shift) Kawasaki Tennesse Inc 1111 Sakura Drive, Morristown, TN 37813 Kawasaki Tennessee, Inc. is currently accepting applications for a Multi-Craft Maintenance Position in our Aluminum Die Casting facility. Candidates for this position must be willing to work all shifts and overtime. Position Summary:
Perform general maintenance service, repairs and troubleshooting. Perform maintenance on die casting, machining and robotic equipment as needed. Knowledgeable in procedures and safety measures of designated areas of responsibility. Perform regular equipment audits in support of safety initiatives. Supports continuous improvement initiatives. Complies with all TS systems.
No Phone Calls Please Minimum Position Requirements:
Completion of vocational training courses / formal maintenance apprenticeship program required. or A minimum of 2 years’ experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication and electrical. Solid work history and willingness to successfully function in a team environment. Basic math skills Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of personnel. Ability and willingness to work any shifts. Candidate must successfully complete maintenance skills test and interview process. Must successfully complete post offer drug screen/physical and comply with Company TN Drug Free Workplace Standards. Salary commensurate with experience/background.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent walking, sitting, standing, squatting, climbing, lifting and bending. Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently throughout a shift. Must have good responses and be alert at all times. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee is regularly exposed to equipment with moving mechanical parts. Employee will be exposed to a aluminum foundry environment and electrical equipment. The working environment is hot and requires working near molten aluminum and very hot surfaces. Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment must be worn in the proper manner at all times. The noise level is usually moderate to loud and hearing protection is required. Eye protection and Safety shoes are required. Equal Opportunity Employer
