Engaging in a whole family approach of interconnected support, TRH collaborates with families in the areas of housing and community life, family advocacy, and enrichment programs. Job Summary The Facilities Maintenance & Groundskeeper is responsible for all facilities maintenance and grounds upkeep for the The Village and the McKamey Place. He/she will maintain the grounds while also addressing common maintenance issues across the aforementioned properties performing repairs and installations as well as managing maintenance volunteers and recommending and managing subcontractors for larger projects. Essential Job Duties Pray regularly for TRH families Participate in bi-weekly staff meetings Perform routine and scheduled maintenance across all properties Perform repairs, installations of fixtures, appliances, and replacement of damaged systems Diagnose problems with heat, cooling, electricity, and water systems Vet and hire competitive subcontractors for major projects Flip apartments to make ready for new families within 2 weeks of move-out Assess damage and share with DHCL within 2-3 days Paint entire apartment after resident’s move out Clean carpets and replace any damaged tiles Perform any needed repairs to apartment Haul and move furniture as needed Manage volunteer work groups and individual volunteers in maintenance and housing projects Check equipment and perform routine maintenance to ensure everything is in working order Respond to resident repair requests within 24 hours Perform light landscaping, lawn care and groundskeeping work for both properties as needed Be on-call to respond to emergency issues Maintain a preferred vendor list in partnership with the DHCL Assist DHCL with annual housing and facilities maintenance budget Qualifications 3 + year of maintenance and groundskeeping experience preferred Working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems Skilled with a variety of hand and power tools, mowers and weed eaters Must pass background check Other Qualifications Strong commitment to communicating current housing and maintenance needs to DHCL Commitment to utilizing resident database to respond to repairs Commitment to utilizing other tech programs as needed for the position Commitment to service Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others Ability to work well both independently and as a part of a team Is a self-starter Mature with good judgment in relating to Restoration House volunteers, partners, and families Is committed to knowing everyone who lives and works at The Village and the Restorative Family Center Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds Availability, dependability, and willingness to be flexible Demonstrated ability to solve problems Enthusiastic and positive attitude toward helping others Supports overall ministry, purpose, and vision of The Restoration House the experience and attributes of the ideal candidate Compensation & Benefits Annual tool allowance of $1,000 On-site maintenance vehicle (Polaris Ranger) is provided All lawn equipment, including mowers, blowers, string trimmers will be provided by The Restoration House Compensation/Benefits This is a salaried position and compensation is determined based on experience and education – Range of $42K to $46K annually Health insurance; covered 100% for employee after first 3 months of employment Paid time off:
