Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Performs routine preventive maintenance and emergency mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance on production systems and equipment, using knowledge of circuitry, electronics, electrical-mechanical devices, motors, wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Demonstrate advanced proficiency in critical safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), Confined Space Entry, HAZWOPER, Advanced Electrical Safety, and Hot Work. Experienced in applying OSHA standards and site-specific safety policies to ensure full compliance and operational continuity. Committed to proactive risk mitigation, and continuous improvement of safety systems. Trouble shoots, repairs, aligns, calibrates, inspects, and tests a variety of production systems and equipment. Working knowledge of PLC programming and troubleshooting is necessary. Allen Bradley/Seimans and other systems knowledge critical to daily job function. Assists in installing new equipment and in moving equipment to new locations. Disassembles machines, parts, and adjusts repairs or replaces defective parts/materials. Uses a variety of basic hand and power tools and equipment including welder, torch, hand drill, bench grinder, band saw, etc. Maintains appropriate maintenance and repair logs. Cleans and lubricates parts and equipment as scheduled. Learns all aspects of machine maintenance and becomes cross-trained in all areas of manufacturing and assembly. Requisitions parts needed for completion of preventive maintenance responsibilities. Other responsibilities may be assigned from time to time as needed, based on the current needs of the company and the requirements of the department. Should have minimum three of industrial pneumatic, electronic, and electrical maintenance experience and responsibilities related to the steel fabrication industry. Should possess a strong technical background in general mechanical, electrical and electronics fields, requires in-depth knowledge of CNC fabrication machines, CNC vertical machining centers, general fabrication machines, lifting and materials handling equipment. Must possess the ability to efficiently direct work to address complaints and resolve problems, able to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations. Ability to use large equipment such as fork trucks, Genie booms, or scissors lifts necessary. The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $28.00 – $38.00 per hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location.
