Plant Manager Description The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance of Company machinery, ensuring high-level production and optimal capacity, while at the same time adhering to quality standards. The incumbent will monitor / inspect machinery and mechanical equipment, identify and resolve problems, update and repair components and devices, conduct preventative activities, manage inventory, prepare analysis and reporting, troubleshoot and user support, maintain records and related documentation, and facilitate compliance and safety standards. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for working collaboratively in a team environment and interface with members of different departments. Key Responsibilities Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications, in addition to troubleshooting malfunctions. Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments. Removes defective parts by dismantling devices, using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools, and examining form and texture of parts. Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges. Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance. Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment. Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies, and placing and expediting orders, in addition to verifying receipt. Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results. Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests. Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends. Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks. Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Education and Experience Requirements:
Successful trade or vocational school completion preferred. Minimum of 2 years work experience as an Industrial Maintenance Technician. In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems maintenance. Ability to lift (50 pounds) and manipulate heavy equipment. Ability to lift 35 lbs.
