CNC Maintenance Technician Job Description As a CNC Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for troubleshooting and maintaining electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment. Your role involves identifying faulty equipment through observation and testing methods, installing new production equipment, and reading and interpreting engineering blueprints and schematics. You will also perform low voltage repairs and wiring installations, fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades, assess the condition of used parts using measuring tools and specifications, prepare and submit maintenance reports, and perform routine maintenance on equipment. Additionally, you will maintain department preventative maintenance status and collaborate with CNC operators to ensure optimal equipment performance. Responsibilities Troubleshoot and maintain electrical systems, CNC machinery, pneumatic tools, and hydraulic equipment. Identify faulty equipment through observation and testing methods. Install new production equipment. Read and interpret engineering blueprints and schematics. Perform low voltage repairs and wiring installations (140-208 volt). Fabricate parts for repairs and machine upgrades. Assess the condition of used parts using measuring tools and specifications. Prepare and submit maintenance reports. Perform routine maintenance on equipment. Maintain department preventative maintenance status. Collaborate with CNC operators to ensure optimal equipment performance. Essential Skills 5+ years of maintenance mechanical experience. Industrial maintenance experience on CNC equipment. Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics. Problem-solving and communication skills. Attention to detail in a manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with PLC troubleshooting. Familiarity with laser etching and electro polishing equipment. Knowledge of med device operations and FDA compliance. Why Work Here? Work Environment The work schedule is from 6am to 4pm, Monday through Friday, with flexibility required for overtime and occasional weekend work. The environment consists of over 80 machines, including CNC lathe, mill, and swiss, as well as laser etching, electro polishing, clean room, and packaging equipment. This position requires adherence to med device operations and FDA compliance. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Memphis, Tennessee. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 – $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
