Maintenance Technician Position Available In Shelby, Tennessee

Maintenance Technician Job Summary :

Startup/shut down plantmachinery each day. Perform safe operation of the boiler and allboiler room equipment. Perform water and boiler tests. Respond tomaintenance calls in a timely manner. Inspect, diagnose, repair,and test machinery. Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, and gearson machinery. Clear machine jams. Wax machine blades. Clear lintfrom the machines. Check machines for air, water, and oil leaks.

Change Chemical drums and AC filters. Monitor PH system. Log partsused for reordering. Customize equipment for laundry processes toimprove efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and malfunctions. Work withvendors to repair or install new equipment. Work with safetydepartment to identify safety hazards and find resolutions. Performlock out/tagout and other safety procedures. Maintain chemicalroom.

Job Duties Include:

Meet established productivity standardsUtilize CMMS system to log all work and perform preventativemaintenance Have a general knowledge of electrical systems Have agood understanding of computer-based programming (PLC) Be able towork individually or assist other team members in troubleshootingand repairs Must be able to operate scissors lift, boom lift, andforklift safely Follow all company safety rules Be able to workwell with a diverse workforce Be able to follow directions given bytheir team lead and/or supervisor Follow all company policies andprocedures Possess and maintain a positive attitude Keep work areaand the company premises safe, clean and organized Perform anyother duties as supervisor/manager sees fit Report all major issuesto Chief Engineer and Production Manager. Assist with resolution.

Establish and maintain positive working relationship betweenbuilding maintenance crew and production team. Follow all companysafety rules Be able to work well with a diverse workforce Followall company policies and procedures Possess and maintain a positiveattitude

Required Skills:

Must have a Boiler License for TennesseeMust be able to work 5am shift Be able to stand on feet up to 10hours a day Minimum of 3 years experience with productionmaintenance Sufficient manual dexterity to work on equipment Mustbe able to lift and move up to 50lb Must be able to consistentlymeet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, pushing, andpulling
