Purpose:

The Maintenance Technician will perform routine maintenance duties for the hospital. The Maintenance Technician will ensure that the facility and property are clean, safe, secure, and functioning at optimum efficiency. This is an intermediate level role within the Plant Operations Department. The Maintenance Technician is also responsible for completing their assigned safety checks and adheres to all safety regulations and practices. The Maintenance Technician will assist with performing testing, inspection, implementation and maintenance of equipment, systems, and structures. Performs assigned preventative maintenance on equipment (i.e., compressors, exhaust fans, air handlers, vents, fan coil units, water coolers, refrigerators, ice machines, etc.) in accordance with manufacturer specifications. Performs minor repairs and replacements, including replacing light bulbs and fire extinguishers, as requested/necessary. Other duties assigned by management team.

Education/Training:

High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Licensure/Certification:
Current Tennessee Driver’s License Experience:

At least one year experience in maintenance duties, preferably in a hospital or other institutional setting.
