Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician Position Available In Wilson, Tennessee

Position Summary:

The Multi-Craft Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of equipment and systems across multiple trades within the facility. This position requires a strong mechanical and electrical background, proficiency in controls and automation systems, and EPA-certified HVAC experience. The technician will play a lead role in maintaining production uptime, improving equipment reliability, and supporting special projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on industrial equipment and infrastructure. Install, calibrate, and maintain PLCs, control panels, sensors, and other automation equipment. Perform HVAC diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance on facility climate control systems, including RTUs and split systems. Conduct routine inspections and develop corrective action plans to minimize downtime. Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and control diagrams. Support plant operations by responding promptly to equipment failures or maintenance requests. Fabricate parts or structures when necessary using machine tools or welding equipment. Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and relocation projects. Maintain detailed records of work performed, parts used, and maintenance schedules using CMMS software. Ensure all work complies with OSHA, NEC, and company safety standards. Mentor junior maintenance team members and assist with training on systems and procedures. Work collaboratively with engineering, operations, and safety teams to improve equipment performance and efficiency.

Qualifications Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required; technical degree or trade school certification or combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in a multi-craft role.

EPA 608 HVAC

Certification required. Proficient with PLC troubleshooting and controls systems (e.g., Allen Bradley, Omron, Siemans). Strong mechanical, electrical, and HVAC troubleshooting abilities. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and manuals. Experience with welding, fabrication, and piping systems is a plus. Must have own basic hand tools; company provides specialty tools and equipment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and maintenance software (CMMS experience preferred). Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or in confined spaces when necessary. Willing to work flexible hours including weekends or on-call as required.
