Brewery Maintenance Technician Position Available In Chittenden, Vermont

Brewery Maintenance Technician Fiddlehead Brewing Company Shelburne, VT 05482 Fiddlehead Brewing Company is hiring for a Maintenance Technician. This role will provide maintenance of diverse equipment and processes in our state-of-the-art packaging brewery. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the reliability and upkeep of equipment throughout the brewery as well as overall plant management.

Essential Responsibilities:

Including, But not limited to the following Completing and coordinating maintenance for a 24/7 operation; includes facility, packaging line, brewery, cellar and maintenance. Helping to build and implementing a preventative maintenance program and ensuring that schedule is adhered to. Ensuring work area cleanliness, organization, and tool control. Continuously supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of all equipment. Understanding of OSHA safety requirements Developing, refining and documenting maintenance procedures Diagnosing and repairing, and processing pumps, automatic control valves, sensors, positioners, actuators, basic electrical AC/DC troubleshooting, glycol temperature control and related systems. Maintaining spare parts inventories , minimize downtime for needed parts Maintaining all facility equipment, such as the boiler, air compressor, chillers. Serve as point person for contract services associated with brewery equipment. Performing general building maintenance, including repairs on the building and appliances, as well as installations Requirements Welding and plumbing experience a plus Be “on-call” to perform after-hours emergency maintenance service when scheduled as “on-call”. Familiarity with refrigeration and HVAC systems, boilers and steam principles Must be able to work with a team-oriented, “Safety First” approach. Fluency in mechanical troubleshooting Proficient in knowledge of bearings, pulleys, chain drives, belt drives, and lubricants standards and applications. Able to read and decipher mechanical drawings, P and IDs, schematics, and piping diagrams. Strong background in electrical systems such as controls, automation, VFDs, PLCs required Practical experience with high-speed bottling/packaging operations in food/beverage industries, preferred Ability to work with outside contractors and obtain quotes Self-motivated with ability to work independently within a team environment Maintain accurate records and data
