The Vermont Country Store is currently seeking a part-time Maintenance Person to join our retail team at our Rockingham store location . We’re looking for a responsible, self-motivated, and team-oriented individual to help maintain and repair our store grounds and buildings. Your work will play a key role in creating a safe, orderly, and welcoming environment ensuring our customers have an experience that exceeds expectations. Where We Are This position will work in person at our Rockingham store at 1292 Rockingham Rd, Bellows Falls, VT 05101. A Sampling of What You’ll Do Perform preventative and corrective maintenance as needed on HVAC, Generator, Sprinkler, Water, Sewer, Septic and other systems Contact and follow up with vendors as necessary for repairs and maintenance Report, repair, and correct any potential safety hazards immediately Prepare for seasonal changes such as setting clocks, light timers, set up/clean deck furniture, etc. Support other facilities as needed Who We’re Looking For Previous maintenance experience preferred Strong understanding of construction work such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, etc. Ability to balance multiple tasks at once and work independently Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Flexible in acceptance of assignments and direction High school diploma, GED, or equivalent preferred Who We Are A family-owned company that continues to grow and thrive, The Vermont Country Store is a multi-channel business that has been operating in the Green Mountains of southern Vermont for the past 75 years.
