Applicant must be able to pass a Level II background check, and possess a valid Florida Drivers License. Applicant must have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in installing, trouble shooting, and repairing structured fiber optic and copper cabling systems. Applicant must have prior experience in analyzing schematics, prints, or drawings for the purpose of installing structured cabling systems. Applicant must have intimate knowledge of
BISCI & TIA/EIA
codes associated with structured cabling systems. Applicant must have the ability to lead/manage other team members. Applicant must be proficient in use of personal computers. Applicant must have experience and working knowledge in assembly and installation of cable tray and head end closet build out. Applicant must have working knowledge and experience with equipment used for structured cabling systems testing and fusion splicing, such as an OTDR, fiber optic fusion splicer, Fluke DTX1800 &/Or DSX5000 tester, etc… Applicant must have the ability to manage installation and communicate verbally and in writing with management and customers. Applicant must have the ability to read manuals, diagnose problems, follow trouble shooting steps, and perform installations of new equipment. Applicant must have the ability to work from a ladder, scaffolding, and/or lift equipment, as required. Applicant must have the ability to lift/move equipment and tools weighing up to 100 lbs. Other low voltage experience including intrusion, CCTV, telecom, access control, and AV/Paging, Valcom is a plus.
