Visionary Systems is hiring low voltage technicians to cover an expanding book of business in Florida.

Job Overview:
Visionary Systems is hiring for Commercial Low Voltage Technicians based out of the Tampa, FL area. If you have install experience coupled with great interpersonal skills and a superior work ethic, we invite you to apply! Visionary Systems installs and maintains low voltage systems ranging from basic structured cabling jobs, up to full blown access control, alarm, and IP camera deployments. We primarily work with schools, churches, local and state jails, as well as large commercial properties such as apartments, housing authorities, etc. across the state of Florida.
Job Responsibilities:
Installation and maintenance of systems and their components like cameras, access control, burglar alarms, intercoms, gates, etc. Locking hardware installations including electric strikes, mag locks, electronic retraction kits, etc. Installation of infrastructure including running wire through attics and crawl spaces to install all necessary devices. Manage time to meet time-sensitive deadlines.
Required Experience:
At least 2 years of low voltage installation experience. Ability to read and understand blueprints and plans. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to use hand tools effectively. Experience running and terminating structured cabling. Ability to utilize technology for communication, floor plans, and documentation.
Desired Experience:
Experience installing and troubleshooting electric locking hardware including recessed and surface-mounted electric strikes, ELRs, mag locks, etc. Experience troubleshooting door hardware such as crash bars, vertical rods, dead latches, etc. Sound understanding of circuitry and electrical knowledge. Full rack dressing, organization, and labeling. Familiarity with industry standards such as ADA, NFPA, etc. Fiber splicing and troubleshooting. BISCI certified (any level). OSHA 10 or 30 class completion.
Work Location:
Travel will be required. Customer sites will be across the state of Florida. Hotel rooms and per diem will be provided.
