Job Summary:
Installation, termination of low voltage throughout new construction homes. Installing and terminating
RG-6, CAT
5, and CAT 6A.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Ensuring all installs are done in a neat and workmanlike manner, safely, to builder specifications and current NEC code.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Installing and terminating wiring for low voltage equipment in new home construction Installing WAP’s (wireless access points), ring doorbells, standard doorbells, low voltage chimes etc. Troubleshooting problems with low voltage equipment used in new home construction. i.e. security cameras, video doorbells, security systems, wireless equipment
Required Skills/Abilities:
Accuracy with measurements Ability to scale prints and properly read prints Ability to multi-task Critical thinking skills Low voltage knowledge especially pertaining to
CAT 5, CAT
6A and cable connections.
Basic Home Automation Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders. Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits. Must be able to work in confined spaces Must be able to use hand and power tools for extended periods of time. Must have clean driving record. At least one year of field experience
