The primary responsibility of this role is to bury low-voltage coaxial and/or fiber optic cables using hand tools or trenching equipment, ensuring safe and code-compliant connections from the main line to a customer’s premises. This is a physically demanding outdoor job that requires precision, attention to safety, and the ability to work independently in various weather and terrain conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform underground cable installations (drop bury) from the service pedestal or tap to the customer’s building. Use trenching tools, shovels, or vibratory plows to bury cable at required depth and route. Restore property to original condition, including reseeding or repairing landscaping as needed. Ensure cable paths are clear of utilities and hazards by following locate markings and adhering to dig-safe practices. Inspect work to ensure it meets company, industry, and local code standards. Maintain accurate documentation of completed work, including addresses, cable footage, and installation notes. Communicate with dispatch and supervisors regarding project status or issues. Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.

Requirements:

Valid Driver license and social security card/Number with a clean records. Have a white minivan or pick-up truck.
