If you enjoy working with your hands this job may be for you! This is NOT a job for an “electrician”. “Electronics” involves work with low voltage wiring and devices such as controls, data, video, security equipment, audio, telemetry etc. but does NOT typically involve work with 115 volt or higher electric power. We are a small, stable, family owned, growing company located in Baton Rouge, established in 1963. Our company manufactures industrial electronics and optics for use in industrial furnaces and boilers as well as other industrial process applications. Our company operates in industrial locations and is NOT retail or commercial oriented.

Required education:

Associate degree or other significant training in electronics, instruments, controls. Please provide the specifics (Certificate or degree name, institution name and location, and year graduated). Your experiences will be important. Please describe these on your resume.

Job responsibilities:

Mounting electronics components on small plates Field service work involving troubleshooting and repair of data lines, optical adjustments etc. to field equipment at various industrial plants and facilities Showing up on time for work every day 7AM-5PM, Monday-Thursday schedule, some overtime at 1.5X wages Soldering electronic components Fastening small parts with screws, nuts & washers Drilling, sanding, cutting, metal filing, etc. Packaging, shipping and receiving Low voltage electronic component analysis and change out in the field Cleaning work areas Maintaining tools and equipment Overnight service calls approx. 20-40% annually (but could increase) TWIC card – applicant must NOT be barred from obtaining a TWIC card Hand tools, drill press, basic computer beneficial

CCTV / CCVE

/ analog & IP video camera beneficial Lifting up to 60 lb.s Infrequent callouts on weekends

Requirements:
