The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of CCTV systems and related security technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of security systems, electrical work, and system design to ensure optimal performance and reliability. The CCTV Technician will work closely with clients to assess their security needs and provide tailored solutions. Duties Install, configure, and maintain CCTV systems, including cameras, recording devices, and associated hardware. Conduct thorough assessments of client premises to determine the best placement for security cameras and systems. Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete installations safely and efficiently. Perform regular inspections and maintenance of existing security systems to ensure functionality. Troubleshoot issues with CCTV systems, including detecting faults in wiring or equipment malfunctions. Collaborate with clients to understand their security requirements and provide recommendations for system enhancements. Document all installations, repairs, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping purposes. Stay updated on the latest advancements in security technology and industry best practices. Qualifications Proven experience working with security systems, particularly CCTV installations. Strong knowledge of electrical systems and fire alarm integration is preferred. Familiarity with system design principles related to surveillance technology. Ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions. Certification in relevant fields (e.g., electrical or security system certifications) is a plus. Experience in alarm system sales is advantageous but not required. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
