The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable systems, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction. This role requires a strong understanding of telecommunications systems and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. Duties Install, configure, and troubleshoot cable systems for residential and commercial clients. Utilize hand tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other equipment to perform installations and repairs. Conduct tests on electrical systems to ensure compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency. Work with low voltage wiring and Ethernet connections to set up network systems. Collaborate with team members to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding services performed. Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used during installations or repairs. Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in technology related to telecommunications. Requirements Proven experience as a service technician in the telecommunications field is preferred. Proficiency in using hand tools, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and other relevant equipment. Strong knowledge of Ethernet networking, Cisco routers, and low voltage systems. Ability to telecommunicate effectively with clients and team members. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong physical stamina to perform tasks that may require lifting or standing for extended periods. Valid driver’s license may be required for travel between job sites. High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in telecommunications or electrical work are a plus.
