WHAT YOU’LL DO
Install and terminate Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling for voice, data, and video networks. Mount, configure, and aim IP/CCTV cameras and related security devices. Build out cable pathways (J‑hooks every 5 ft, ladder tray, conduit) and complete rack, patch‑panel, and closet terminations. Perform basic continuity/performance testing and accurate labeling. Follow detailed statements of work (SOWs), site safety rules, and quality checklists. Document work with photos and daily notes in our field app; coordinate directly with project managers.
WHAT YOU BRING
2+ years proven experience in low‑voltage cabling, CCTV, or access control installations. Hands‑on skill with RJ‑45 punch‑downs; fiber splicing or OTDR testing is a plus. Familiarity with ladders, lifts, hand & power tools; ability to read prints and cable schedules. Excellent troubleshooting and customer‑communication skills. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and basic LV tool kit. Industry credentials such as BICSI, CFOT, or NICET are welcomed.
