Field Technician Position Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Low Voltage Installer to join our team full-time. This position involves installing, terminating, and maintaining structured cabling systems, primarily Cat-5 and Cat-6, across a range of job sites. Candidates should be physically capable, detail-oriented, and safety-focused.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, crimp, and terminate Cat-5 and Cat-6 cables with RJ45 connectors. Run cabling through ceilings, walls, and risers; work at heights using ladders or lifts. Read and interpret construction drawings, wiring diagrams, and floor plans. Carry and transport materials and tools up to 50 lbs. Maintain safe work practices in compliance with OSHA standards. Keep tools, equipment, and job sites organized and clean.
Requirements:
Valid driver’s license (required). Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably on ladders. Proficiency with low voltage tools and RJ45 terminations. OSHA 10/30 and SST certifications (strongly preferred). High school diploma or equivalent. Strong work ethic and punctuality.
Preferred Qualifications:
Applicant resides in Brooklyn. Experience with fiber optic and/or coaxial cabling is a plus. Prior work on construction or renovation projects. Principals only. Recruiters, please don’t contact this job poster.
