Should be knowledgeable and proficient in all aspects of CCTV and access control systems including installation, and cabling, door strikes, readers, and rex’s. The ideal candidate will serve as the on-site lead technician, providing direction to crews, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining project schedules and customer satisfaction. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include but are not limited to: Lead the installation and maintenance of teledata (CAT6, CAT6A) and fiberoptic cabling (single-mode, multi-mode) Terminate and test copper and fiber optic cables using Fluke or equivalent certification tools. Interpret blueprints, floor plans and technical specifications for low-voltage infrastructure. Mount racks, patch panels, network equipment, cable trays and pathways in compliance with industry standards. Perform site surveys when necessary Assess the environment and make recommendations pertaining to job requirements, hours required and safety concerns Communicate any issues back to the office Relay parts used, additional parts needed, replacement parts needed, and parts bought for the job, parts pulled from truck stock to the warehouse manager Maintain accurate documentation, including test results and as-built drawings. Research and complies with all building codes and manufacturing requirements when performing work Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform installations, maintenance, and services Comply and enforce OSHA’s safety regulations Maintains clean and orderly work areas Performs other work-related duties as assigned Flexible schedule for travel when needed Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) High School diploma/GED required, AA degree in mechanical or electrical maintenance preferred Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and appliance maintenance experience 5+ years of technical experience Be highly motivated and able to work independently Valid state driver’s license Ability to satisfy background and drug testing requirements Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
