Job Description
Description We are seeking a motivated and dependable Telecommunications Cat6 Cable Technician to support our full-time staff in completing current project workloads. This role is ideal for individuals with basic knowledge and hands-on experience in pulling and routing Cat6 cable in commercial or industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in pulling, routing, and labeling Cat6 cables in various environments (e.g., ceilings, walls, conduits). Support technicians with cable terminations, testing, and documentation. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow safety protocols and company procedures at all times. Perform basic troubleshooting under supervision. Transport tools and materials to and from job sites as needed.
Qualifications:
Basic understanding of Cat6 cable types and installation practices. Ability to use hand tools such as fish tape, cable pullers, and ladders. Comfortable working in physically demanding environments (e.g., climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs). Strong work ethic and willingness to learn. Reliable transportation to job sites. High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
