As a rapidly growing company, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated Structured Cabling Technician to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

As a Structured Cabling Technician, you will play a crucial role in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling systems for our clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

Installing, terminating, and testing various network cabling types, such as RG6, CAT6, fiber optic, and coaxial cables for voice, data, security, and access control applications. Ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices during cabling installations. Planning cable routes for new installations or upgrades. Troubleshooting network connectivity. Experience with paging systems, analog phone systems, legacy telephone equipment, and fusion splicing. Electronic Security experience preferred. Knowledge of IT equipment, such as firewalls, switches, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), and servers. Ability to work independently and as a team with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project deadlines and requirements. Ability to document cabling installations, changes, and repairs accurately for future reference in mobile field management software application. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or training in structured cabling preferred. Proven experience as a Structured Cabling Technician or similar role. (2) years of telecommunications & fiber experience. Electronic security, (access control, cameras, intrusion) – preferred. Active OSHA 10. Scissor/boom lift (MEWP) certification – preferred. Solid understanding of network cabling standards and protocols. Proficiency in using various cabling tools and equipment, such as cable testers and termination tools. Ability to read and interpret cabling diagrams and blueprints. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure. Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Physically able to lift heavy equipment and work in confined spaces when required. A clean and valid driver’s license.
